How 2019 has been for me
As the year is coming to an end I want to reflect on how it went. Like any year it had its highlights and lowlights, and I wanted to write a blog about it to break down how my year was.
Highlights-
1. Great travelling- This year, I went to Sikkim with my parents and grandparents and to Alibaug. I wanted to do a beach vacation for a long time and the trip to Alibaug was great since the vacation was pretty chill, the hotel, was beautiful, the weather was just right to visit a beach and it was not too crowded either. Sikkim was a beautiful place too and I enjoyed a lot with my grandparents as well. (The momos and maggi there were dope as well).
2. Spent a lot of time with Shravani- In this year, I got to spend a lot more time with my best friend, Shravani. We went out, ate a lot of food, visited each other's homes and we became a lot closer to each other.
3. Holi- This year's Holi was my best. We had rivals to throw water balloons, the music was great, and everyone was participating. One thing me and my friends did was shoving each other in the pool. I was the first one to get shoved, (I almost saved myself, but then lost my balance) and then pushed in another guy too. It was the best.
Lowlights-
1. Increased academic burden and dip in academic performance- I started 9th grade this year and the syllabus increased by over 20 times. The homework we got increased along with the rigour of the syllabus. 8th grade was a piece of cake, I had the time to be bored, but don't have that liberty this year. There is always work to be done. The tremendous pressure has reduced my grades and academic performance.
2. Fallout with friends- I had made some friends in my society and I felt like it was all chill among us, but I just started realizing, maybe things weren't as happy as they seemed so I stopped hanging out with them. I know that it was a decision I took to make myself happy, but then there's only so long you can stay without any company after a tiring day.
I am very optimistic for the new year, even though my 31st nights are like any other nights, I can sort of sense that my year is going to be great and I'm motivated to tackle any challenges that come my way.
Have a great 31st with your friends and family and an amazing 2020!
